Same-day pickups available most days across Gold Coast and Brisbane — book before 11am for best chance of a same-day slot. Otherwise next-day is standard.
Pricing is by truck volume, not item count. Minimum charge $120. Half a truck is typically $400–$550 depending on stream. Use our instant quote for a number tied to your specific job.
We give an indicative price online in 60 seconds — but final price needs the crew to see the load. We confirm before any work begins so there are no surprises.
No. Kerbside or driveway is fine. We send photos before and after for chain of custody, and you can pay online once the job's complete.

Yes — Visa/Mastercard via Stripe. We don't pre-authorise; you only pay once the job is complete. No surcharges for card.

Asbestos (regulated waste — needs a specialist), hazardous chemicals, large quantities of clinical/biological waste, ammunition, explosives, anything ATO-restricted.
Yes — fridges and freezers are part of our standard service. Per-item from $45–$85.
Yes for car parts and small numbers of tyres. Large bulk tyre loads are routed through our metals partner.
Yes — mattresses are picked up and routed through a mattress-specific recycler where possible (steel springs to metal, foam to recovery).
Materials are sorted on-site. E-waste goes to Sircel / PV Industries. Metals to Sims. Batteries to Envirostream. Reusable furniture to charity partners. Every job gets a recovery report showing exactly where each stream went and what % was diverted from landfill.
Yes — our e-waste stream is routed through NTCRS co-regulatory partners. AS/NZS 5377 certification at our Phase 1 site is in progress via Compass Assurance Services.
Yes — reusable furniture and goods are donated to local charity partners (Endeavour Foundation, Lifeline Superstore) where condition allows.
Yes — every job receives a written report within 24 hours showing what was collected, where each material went, and the % diverted from landfill. This is unique to Junkbird in the AU market.
Yes — $20M public liability insurance plus commercial vehicle insurance. Certificates available on request.
Yes — every job is invoiced with a full GST tax invoice for your records.
Yes — strata managers, real estate agencies and property managers can book recurring monthly clear-outs at a discounted trade rate. Email sales@junkbird.com.au to discuss.
Yes — common for commercial jobs to run after 5pm or weekends. After-hours surcharge of 25% applies on the standard rate.

Yes — NIST 800-88 compliant data wipe on IT assets, with per-device certificate. Physical shredding for drives that can't be wiped. $40–$80 per device depending on volume.
Yes — we collect old panels at ground level (your installer handles roof removal). Per-panel pricing from $25 for residential, $15–$25 for bulk installer partnerships.
Yes — lithium-ion and lead-acid batteries are bunded for safe transport and routed to Envirostream or Ecobatt. We never put batteries in mixed loads.
